Place the recommended dosage into the machine dispenser tray rather than direct onto clothing. Increase for heavily soiled laundry and for hard water. For soft water and lightly soiled decrease amount to desired level. For whites, presoak with Ecover bleach and add some Ecover bleach to the dispenser tray also.
